Snow time!

With deep snow on the mountains, blue skies, and reasonable temperatures, winter is a premiere season to stay in Incline Village with so many great things to do in Lake Tahoe in winter.

Winter Activities in Incline Village

Lake Tahoe winters offer a wide variety of snow sports, events, and spectacular scenery. North Lake Tahoe has the largest concentration of downhill ski resorts in the nation—11, in fact—with world-class terrain and spectacular views. The Incline Lodge is a gateway to all of the resorts, especially to Diamond Peak in Incline Village and Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe, which is 15 minutes from Incline Village. Access discount lift tickets are provided with all winter reservations (peak period restrictions apply).

Diamond Peak Ski Resort

Just a mile up the road from The Incline Lodge, Diamond Peak is our local, community-owned mountain—known for its incredible lake views and laid-back Tahoe energy. Catch the free ski shuttle running every 30 minutes between the lodge and the resort for an easy ride to the slopes. This season, Diamond Peak is celebrating 60 years on the mountain with $60 lift tickets on select dates: Dec. 4–7, Jan. 14 & 29, Feb. 9, Mar. 17 & 27, and Apr. 19. On all other days, guests of The Incline Lodge get $20 off window rates when buying lift tickets through Diamond Peak’s online store.

Backcountry

The Mount Rose Wilderness Area is a backcountry winter wonderland for skiers. Access is easy from the top of hwy 431, just minutes from The Incline Lodge. With a high elevation parking area at 8,000’, you can count on Mount Rose for producing the deepest and driest snow at times. Spend the day exploring a number of small sub peaks near the car or go for the summit for a stark contrasting view of the Tahoe basin and Nevada high desert. Be sure to be safe, travel with knowledgeable skiers/riders, check avalanche reports, and practice your snow safety techniques on a regular basis.
